Nail polish remover. It works on your nails, why wouldn’t it work on the carpet? Test the carpet for colorfastness first, but that should work just fine. Good luck!

Use windex! It worked for me when my girlfreind spilled it on my carpet.

I would get a knife and try to pick the nail varnish out of the carpet, sounds stupid but it will work, either of some whit spirit.

Try oxyclean. If that does not work then you may have to go to extremes. You can also buy a product called Goo Gone or Goo Out. I know that Sherwin Williams sells it. It is a spray Paint and Graffiti remover. Many schools use it to get paint off buildings. This may be your best bet.

Pure rubbing alcohol breaks down acrylic paint so it may help for nail polish, otherwise you now know how to get paint out of carpet… my grndma also uses some stuff from QVC that smells like bananas but I don’t remember the name…

Here is a site that I would highly recommend. They have very high quality stain removal techniques. I would suggest repeating the process after the first application, and rinsing the rug out with cool water in between applications. Best of luck!
