I recently did a load of laundry in cold water and my husband had a light blue t-shirt with a dark blue trim it bled onto his work shirt which is sort of a canvas material. I have tried: oxyclean, shout, bathroom cleaner, hairspray, alcohol……….has anyone done this before ? OH never put it in the dryer.

I just spilled purple nail polish onto my beige carpet and onto my green wall. How can I get it out with out bleaching or spreading the stain into the carpet and without taking the paint off of the wall? I have tried nail polish remover and soap and water. I’ve heard that laundry detergent might work, but I have yet to try it. Tell me what you think would work =] Thank you!!

my son spilt finger nail polish on his shorts i wiped it right off but now theres a huge stain . not sure what would take it off or are they ruined ?

I have been getting random oil stains on my family’s clothing off and on. It doesn’t seem dirty until it comes out of the washing machine, and at first I thought someone had left chapstick in their pocket or something, but I check and it still happens. The stains are small and circular, and they come out with spray and wash or stain stick. I just don’t know if it could be a problem with the washer, and if so, is this something easily fixed?

I wanted to paint my nails at school, i put the nail polish on my lap took out the little brush. My friend thoght i was reading a note and moved my hand and i stained my pants. Now i got this black stain on my pants, how do i remove it? Plz help!:|

Did a load of laundry (darks), put it in the dryer. The clothes got stained from my daughter leaving a tube of Chapstick in her jean pocket.

Is there any way to get the stains out? Or is it hopeless, since it went the dryer already?

The sheets haven’t been washed yet. Using nail polish remover doesn’t seem like a good idea because the one time I accidentally got a bit on the bedding it stained it an ugly orangish color. Anything else that will remove the stain or at least lighten it? Thanks in advance.
I would think washing it would be more likely to set the stain…am I incorrect?

Should I just throw my jeans in the washer, or use regular laundry detergent to rub the stains off manually BEFORE putting them in the wash? One is a pen stain, one is a coffee stain.

For Christmas, I got a black Twilight T-shirt. I was doing laundry this morning and I was very tired, and thought the bottle of Bleach was detergent. Now I’ve got orange stains on the back of my shirt.
I’ve heard that Sharpie works to cover it up, but will that make it look..weird?
I really want to fix this without buying a whole new one but can I?

My daughter got nail polish on her pink denim overalls. I caught it right away and started working on the stain immediately. Here’s what I have tried so far that DID NOT WORK!

Shout
Shout Advanced
Zout
OxyClean (made a paste and let it sit)

Each of these tries involved scrubbing with a toothbrush. Is there anything else I can try?

My girlfriend dropped black nail polish all over our carpet last night. The carpet is your generic gray found in most rental properties. We’ve tried nail polish remover which has lifted it a little but it’s also spread the stain. Anyone got any ideas on how to get it out?

All the nail polish brands that I like (OPI, China Glaze, etc.) are really good but they chip and the dark ones stain my nails and I don’t like that. Soo is there any other good brands that don’t chip or stain nails?

Hello! My poor baby threw up an almost-finished 8 oz bottle of formula last night, all over me (no biggie) but also on my dark brown couch. Now the white stain is very difficult to remove! Any suggestions on how to remove this? All I have found when I googled "baby formula stains" or "protein stains" has been instructions on how to remove from baby clothes (as in laundry – not going to help me, can’t put the couch in the washing machine!)

I accidently brushed my wet nail against the edge of my mac. I wasn’t too worried because I assumed it would come off with nail polish remover. I applied the remover about a minute later and instead of getting rid of the red polish it just turned it into a pink blob. also the area around the polish has a neon yellow tinge because of the remover.
Does anyone know what could remove the stain? I tried PC Quick Wipes, but obviously they were useless. help!
