all natural laundry detergent?

best stain removercleaning suppliesjanitorial suppliesremoving stains

I make my own homemade all-natural laundry detergent that works GREAT, if i were to sell it, how much should i ask per gallon? It cleans just about anything but it cleans dried blood stains wonderfully like i have never saw anything else ever. What should I charge folks? and how should I advertise and what should the label read?

You do have to be careful when you start selling a product! Not only do you have to worry about how much to charge, where to sell it, shelf life of the product, proper labeling, advertising, naming the product, you also have to worry about the safety of the product.

In today’s world of lawsuit happy people, all it takes is somebody to have an allergic reaction and you find yourself in court paying a lawyer 10 times what you made selling the product!

Think of all the millions of dollars the large companies spend on product testing. Do you think they do it because they want to? No! They do it because they HAVE to.

I too make my own laundry soap out of a bar of fells naphtha soap, 1 cup of borax, 1 cup of washing soda, and 5 gallons of water. heat the soap up in a pot with 2 pints of water until dissolved, mix in soda and borax, then pour into 5 gallon bucket and fill with water. Works very well and costs 1/10th of what it costs in the stores.

What I would do is calculate what it cost to make it and bottle it. (IE: how much would it cost to make one bottle). You could sell it at local organic stores that you could maybe rent some space at.

    Good Luck

For a gallon I would say sell it for 12 dollars if it works so good. The label should mention that its homemade and that it works wonders on blood stains, ect. You could tell you friends and neighbors about it and give them little bottle samples to try it out the bottle should be just enough to clean 1 or 2 loads.

    *Good Luck*

Don’t forget to research the patents on the formula. Someone may already have one and it will need to be researched. If no one else has it then you’ll want to apply for one so that if someone wants to use the idea…they have to pay you for it. Its not cheap tho.
