Trying to get urine stains out of the carpet, and no luck. I can still see some of the spot. Am I out of luck? Anyone have any tried and true methods?

Try pouring white vinegar on the spot. Let it sit for 7-8 minutes, then fold up an absorbent white bath towel, place the folded towel over the vinegar area, and walk on the towel. You are using your weight to blot the vinegar out of the carpet. You will notice the discoloration coming into the towel. Turn and/or change the towel so that there is a clean dry area being put over the spot, and continue blotting until the carpet is dry.
You may possibly need a second application, but just one time has always worked for me.
A bonus is that the vinegar neutralizes the urine scent, so the pet is not triggered by smell to urinate in that spot again.
