Anyone know anything to help stained countertops?

The house I recently moved into has white countertops w/ just a speckle of gold. Whoever lived here before had somehow stained them. Some places look like coffee stains, others like red kool-aid stains that were all left spilled too long. I’ve tried Mean Green. It has bleach in it. No luck. Many times there are home solutions that are better than store bought stuff. Any ideas?

Try baking soda mixed with a little water. It will act as a mild scouring powder. Just rub it on the stains and it should take them right out. You will need to use some elbow grease. I don’t think you’re going to find anything that will take out the stains without any scrubbing. I’ve also used toothpaste, but it doesn’t seem to work as well as baking soda.

Depending on the stain, straight Clorox works for me. For stubborn stains, try Soft Scrub. It also has bleach, and is a mild abrasive.

Vinegar is the best thing to use. For fresh stains, if you wipe down with some vinegar, the stain will come out. I’m not sure if it will work on old stains but you can give it a shot. Of course, after the stain is out, you’ll want to wash the counter down with soap and water to get the vinegar smell out.

I think most people think bleach is the answer to everything , but all it dose after a while is turn things yellow . I use a natural stone cleaner for almost all my household cleaning , It cleans Stainless Steal, Brass, Silver, Bronze, all most all metals , gets rid of Limescale . it would more than sure clean your kitchen it´s great for cleaning the bathroom , and it also cleans windows , I could go on and on with the thing´s it cleans . My niece introduced me to this product you can buy it on line it´s called Perlglanz Putzetein http://www.promonov. all housewives should have this product at home

clorox clean up gel works great pour it on and let it sit for 30 min. I used it on my light blue counter tops and it didnt harm them. Also there is a product called Awesome. I found it at Dollar Tree stores. It only costs a dollar but it lives up to its name. you may want to try oxiclean. use with a little warm water to make a paste and leave on for 30 min or so. then wipe clean.

Don’t buy in stores. I have a concentrated product that will get rid of them. Just use it full power. E-mail me and I’ll get you the info. It cost around $8.00 for 1 liter.

    2 suggestions
1-soak the area with full strength bleach
    2-make a paste with ZUD cleanser(abrasive powder)
let this soak a bit then rinse

Try lemon juice and bi carb soda. It does work and also leaves a nice fresh smell. Also good for bathrooms.

    Try a Magic Eraser sponge.

we have the same exact counter top and it stains easily. We have a rust stain on ours and it will not come off with anything but for the rest get a bleach kitchen cleaner spray. spray it on the stains and let it soak for about 5-7 min. then clean it off
