Not sure if this will work but I've used it on a lot of other old stains & it works. I put Pine-Sol straight onto the stain, scrub with an old toothbrush & wash as usual. I either put it through an extra rinse cycle or put 1/2 cup vinegar in the deep rinse to help remove the pine-sol smell.

Put neat washing-up liquid onto the stain , then put your sweatshirt in a bucket of cold water. Leave in for 10-20mins , then wash as normal.

make sure the shirt is dry, pour hydrogen peroxide right on the old strain and let it work for about 15 minutes repeat if nessary this works great.

try Ronsonal butane lighter fluid. Squirt the lighter fluid on the stain, and then spray shout over that. Let it soak for a few minutes, then wash normally. This also works for oil stains from salad dressing and blood. Usually doesn't matter how old the stain is or how many times washed or dried. I waitress and do this for all my work shirts. Also could do a white water soak– 1 cup non-chlorine bleach, 1 cup dishwasher detergent and 1 cup of your laundry detergent, soak overnight in washer filled with HOT water then rinse and spin as you normally would
