A port wine stain will require some very serious coverage. My best suggestion is to use a very high pigmentation foundation/concealer, and my personal recommendation is Kevyn Aucoin’s Sensual Skin Enhancer. It has AMAZING pigmentation, though it’s a bit pricy…. but there is nothing else like it out there. I believe it’s available at Sephora. The tub of foundation is very tiny, but you only need the tiniest amount to cover – a blob the size of a rice grain will do your whole face! I usually mix it with a little moisturizer to sheer it out because it’s so strongly pigmented.

Other brands – Covermark and Dermablend. I’ve tried using Dermablend to cover a tattoo once, but it looked rather cakey and it’s not quite as pigmented as Kevyn Aucoin.

I’ve also used Make Up For Ever’s Full Cover concealer, and while it’s pretty well pigmented, it’s relatively translucent compared to the Kevyn Aucoin. However, it does give you a very natural finish, and you can build up coverage by powdering over every layer you use and then do multiple layers. It’s also available at Sephora, and rather pricey as well.

Im not sure about a cover up because I’m male… but I know that the best way to REMOVE a wine or port stain is to use hot water and salt. Wet the stain with hot water and then rub some grains of salt into it and it should start fading. Plus salt, especially sea salt, is very good for skin.
