Bleach stain on carpet?

best stain removercleaning suppliesjanitorial suppliesremoving stains

I have a bleach stain on my beige carpet. Now, the carpet where the stain is looks pink. I rent an apartment and before having to hire some type of carpet cleaning service, I was wondering if I could something to remove the stain. Any suggestions?

A bleach stain cannot be removed. I’m Sorry. The only possible solution would be to replace that section of the carpet.

The stain cannot be removed, the color has been bleached out. The only thing I can think of to do would be to re dye that area of the carpet. Not sure how you would do that successfully though.

I doubt you can remove it. It will have altered the colour of your carpet. Could you stain the stain with a suitable coloured dye?And disguise it? And keep bleach well away from your carpet.

    Hi!
I have DARK burgundy carpet, opposite end of the spectrum.
I found some spray paint at Lowe’s that’s safe for carpets. It’s great for spot treating.
It’s with the regular spray paint. I don’t remember the name of it, sorry. I’m sure if you have a Home Depot they carry similar.
    Good luck!

Thanks, now I know that I am not alone in the world. My stain came with the house. Who would design a house with carpet in front of the laundry room? The guy that designed my house, thats who. Thanks for asking this question.

I don’t think there is. Our apartment manager actually said it was part of normal wear and tear. We have a small spot near our down stairs bathroom and she told me to put a rug over it. :(

Sorry you can“t remove the stain, BUT, YOU CAN FIX IT. With a sharp trimming knife or safety razor blade cut out the bleached area to expose the backing beneath. Cut enough matching tufts to fill the hole from a place it will not show, Like under heavy furniture , or in a closet. or if you have a spare piece of carpet even better. Dab the bottom of the hole and the ends of tufts with a suitable latex adhesive, then insert the tufts into the hole. Leave to dry, then trim if necessary and brush to blend in with the pile. Hope this helps you, Why pay more when you can do it yourself
