Blue Kool-Aid stain on tan carpet!! Help!!!?

Okay, my toddler just drank too much blue Kool-Aid and then threw it up on the tan carpet. I’ve been cleaning it with Resolve and 409 carpet cleaner, but there’s still a faint blue stain. What do I do?

    Try Windex window cleaner. I too have a biege rug in my living room and had to remove red kool-aid. I use Windex to remove stains from my counter top in the kitchen, so thought maybe it would work on the rug and it did. Just be sure to blot!

    pour straight hydrogen peroxide (which all us mom’s have )
    on the stain let it sit a few minutes then use water and dawn dish soap scrub a little and let dry….

    The dyes in Kool-Aid, Gatorade and Jell-o generally result in a permanent stain. However, you can still try to remove carpet stains caused by these products. The newest technology uses peroxide and detergents to penetrate the soiled area to remove the stain and deactivate the odor. Simply spray a product such as Bio-OX Citrus Concentrate on the soiled area, and then allow it to penetrate for approximately five minutes. Using a clean white absorbent cloth, blot the area, pressing down firmly (do not rub) for 30 seconds. Repeat this blotting process until the area is dry. If the odor persists, repeat the process. Another option for cleaning carpet stains such as these is to use ordinary household and blot at the stain using a clean cloth. When cleaning carpet stains with ammonia, wear a mask or turn you head so you don’t inhale the fumes.

    Careful with the peroxide, It could bleach out the carpet. Try it in an unnoticable spot first and dilute it if you need to.

    OK….i have tried this on clothes and it worked!! Spray hairspray on the blue stain….it might take a wile but just try it!! :)

    I swear by a product called SPOT SHOT. You find it in the store near the carpet cleaners – Comes in a spray can or pump.

    It is AWESOME! You’ll be amazed.

    stop!!! do not use any more product on the stain and devinatly do not use peroxide on your carpet it will bleach it out. the stain is not permanant. it can be removed. you propbally have everything you need to remove it already in your home however you will destroy an iron and a towel you also need to clean your carpet to remove the cleaners you have already used. my most practical suggestion is to call your local carpet cleaning company. the stain removal charge should be 5 to 10 dollars depending on the size but most companies have a minimum service charge so have the whole room cleaned. before you make an appointment make sure they specialize in stain work, specifically red stain removal (the color differance does not matter)
