Can bleach stain things after it has dried?

I bleached a white shirt today that had turned offwhite bc of how long I’ve had it. I rinsed it and let it dry. I need to wear it tomorrow It still smells very strongly of bleach, and I’m wondering if it will stain the tank I’m wearing under it.

1st off bleach will deteriorate the fibers and actually yellow your whites.

Instead of using bleach on that shirt, try using white vinegar and hot water. Let it sit for a few hours, and then rinse well with cold water. Rinse several times if needed. Throw in the dryer with a dryer sheet to get remaining smells out.

If you can, for the future, go to vermont country store.com and order up some Mrs. Stewart’s Bluing.

This stuff is FABULOUS and will make all your whites white again.

    Limit your use with bleach.

Just to be sure I would rinse it one more time. That is the only way to be sure because the it might stain.
