I was in the hospital for a few weeks this summer and I had a pic line in my arm (similar to an IV, but designed for longer use). Anyway, they had to put it in twice because the first time it hit the vein and clotted. This caused a sort of blood blister to develop around the area over the next few days. Now that I’ve been out of the hospital for a little over a month, the blood seems to have been absorbed back into the blood stream, but there’s a remaining darker tint to the skin in exactly the area where the blood blister had been – like the skin’s been ever so slightly stained. Is that possible?? Will the spot go away? Or am I likely stuck with this strange spot on my arm forever?
