Can chocolate stain your teeth?

I don't drink coffee or smoke, but I eat dark chocolate alot. My teeth need whitening, but wondering if it's the chocolate?

    I've heard that chocolate can. But I think your teeth get stained over time no matter what.

    Eating a lot of sugar can eat away at the tooth enamel which can leave teeth susceptible to staining.

    Sometimes if you eat chocolate every single day, and you eat it ALOT of times a day. Then probably eventually it can stain your teeth. Especially if its dark chcolate becuase its the strongest chocolate of them all.

    i have never heard of dark chocolate staining your teeth it could be a number of things that stain your teeth from black tea and read wine to food coloring try brushing your teeth straight after you have had a bar

    Once a day with daily brushing? No.
    Once a day without daily brushing? Maybe.
    A few times a day with daily brushing? Maybe.
    A few times a day without daily brushing? Likely.
    Constant all day without brushing? Very likely.
