Can I fix a bleach stain on my carpet?

I accidentally spilled a small amount of household cleaner on my carpet and it turned an area from beige to a pinkish color. I cant afford to replace the carpet, but that small area looks horrible. Does anyone know if there is a paint or tint I can use on the area so i can color it back to its original beige? If there is such a product, where can I find it and does it look natural?

i HAVE SOLVED THIS situation before for a client of mine….as follows; depending how large the area is ,take a pot or pan just big enough to cover the BAD spot, turn the pot upside down and take a very sharp knife and cut around the pot…..holding it down as not to let it move while cutting…..note; it will be fine if you cut completely thru the carpet pad, after this is completly cut thru to the hard surface floor ,then remove the pot and remove the piece of soiled carpet………….next do the same thing in a non conspicious area ,such as under a bookcase or a coutch….then take the good pc to the area that you want to reface and place it in the cutout and see how it looks. fasten it down with double sided carpet tape and your good to go !!!! …..no one will ever see it except you…..mine has been replaced for two yrs and still looks fine….YOU CAN DO IT WE CAN HELP!!! CARPET INSTALLER FOR 22 YRS.

You are pretty much out of luck. There is no way to fix it. Can you put a nice plant or table over the spots?

Hum what you can try to do is to buy those rite stains..its at area where you buy the laundry soap. and try that

or if you can also use black tea..just seep the black tea over night and poor it on the stain..it should get a little more tanner for you

Buy a marker the shade of your carpet & try that.
They also have color remover in the section where you buy dyes.
if all else fails, cover it with a piece of furniture, easier said than done.

My friend has a pool and her kids would constantly track in chlorinated water through the living room, which of course bleached out her dark brown carpet…she bought some rit dye at walmart and mixed it up. You can’t even tell! Of course, a few years later she finally ripped the carpet out because she didn’t want to have to dye the carpet every year! Hope this helps!!

You said it was a small amount of bleach that was spilled? If it isn’t too large, you may be able to pull some fibers out of another area of the carpet and glue them where the spot is. Check with a professional carpet cleaner or even where carpet is sold, they can direct you on the proper glue to buy and how to do the repair. They can even give you an estimate on how much it would cost for them to do it.
