I spilled some bleach and it looks terrible. Its about the size of a big cereal bowl. How much will it cost to have someone fix just that spot?
dont say anything else, just give me a prize

I would think your options would be to replace that section if you have some of the original carpet still. Our dog got locked in a room and tore up some of the carpet by the door, so I cut out a small section larger than the spot and replaced it. You might also be able to have the carpet dyed, but a professional should be called and they likely will give you a free estimate.

Just get a steam cleaner in case you do it again

there is carpet dye that you can get to re dye your carpet. I never did it but have seen the stuff at the store.

You will only be able to fix it if you have some matching carpet renments. It involved cutting the bleached area out with a box cutter and exactly matching the new carpeting into the space. It takes skill to get it to blend so it’s unnoticeable so calling a carpet guy isn’t a bad idea. If you don’t have a matching remenent and your carpeting is old-ish then I’m not sure there is anything to do except place an area rug over the spot.

most carpet is directional you can test this by rubbing your hand on your carpet and comparing it to a peice of the same carpet you want to use to replace it, just a lil tip if you do cut and replace the area of carpet

My dog tore up my carpet in a spot, so what we did is just cut out that section and replace it with carpet matching what you have. If you can’t find any that matches, what I did was cut it out the carpet in my closet. (Who looks in there anyway) and then replace the carpet in the closet with something that looks similar. The carpet in the closet isn’t as important or noticable as the carpet out in plain view. But once it’s bleached, it’s bleached. You can try the dye’s but they can come out on clothes or other things that get rubbed on it. Good luck.

The age of the carpet is the big factor. If the carpet is older than 5-7 years old my advice is to look into getting new carpet in that room. As stated above you can patch the area however if the carpet is older and worn the patched area will stand out, even if it is from the closet(which gets almost no wear).

It’s not so much a stain, as lack of a stain. The bleach removed the coloring from that area so cleaning it won’t help. You can try to dye it, or cut out the area and replace it if you have some scraps saved of the original carpeting. If it’s in an out-of-the-way place, try covering it with a piece of furniture or a throw rug.
