Can paint thinner clean a paint stain off a couch?

The paint or STAIN is the kind used to color wood.
Would paint thinner be effective in this capacity?

    Hi,

    My business is cleaning, and I use WD-40 on things like that.
    Use gloves and spray the spots, then wipe off with a white wash rag.
    Don't use this around children or pets, and make sure you put the doors and windows open, and don't smoke while putting this on.
    Once it comes off with the WD-40, the wipe clean with another rag with soap and water.
    Should wipe right off.

    I wouldn't put paint thinner on a sofa. There are all sorts of parts to a sofa that could be dissolved by the paint thinner. Let alone turning your sofa into a giant Molotov cocktail. But it would probably take the paint stain out.
