Can WD-40 help remove a set-in grease stain?

I read that if you spray WD-40 on a set in grease stain, and then rinse and pre-treat, it can get out an old grease stain. Is this true?

  1. I no do "NICE" says:

WD-40 is still oil. Try cream hand cleaner "GoJo" or something like that. The cheap stuff. Rub some of it into the grease on the dry clothes and work it in like thickly laid butter. No worries about how much you got on, because it washes out with soap and hot water, taking the grease with it.
If it does not come out after that, throw the pants away. It is less stressful to buy a second hand pair of jeans.
