Candle wax left stain on carpet, ideas to get it out?

At a party we recently hosted a guest accidently tipped a red candle over. The wax made a puddle about two-three inches in diameter on my beige carpet. I was able to remove all the wax but the stain remains. We try to use organic cleaners or home remedies due to my husbands inability to stand strong chemical smells. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Any cleaner that is water based will not help since the stain is oil based. You can try covering the area with baking soda, placing a weighted object over it, then see if it pulls out any of the color, but I don't think it will get rid the stain completely. I suggest you hire a professional carpet cleaner.

Use newspaper and an iron, put thin sheets of newpaper over the wax and iron it gently till the wax soaks into the paper, remove paper and repeat with clean paper until wax is totally removed. Only use the iron hot enough to melt the wax, not burn the carpet lol
This will remove any greasy residue that may contain the staining colour

areosol hairspray will usually remove most stains. soak with hairspray and scrub with a stiff brush, wet with warm soapy water and use a wet vac to suck it up….

put a paper bag over it and iron it. it'll lift the wax right out.
