Carpet Stain?

It is horrible, so I will spare the details… but long story short, my dog was very sick and had a horrible hemmorhage this morning and we had to put her down. I have been crying all day and am just now getting to cleaning up my carpet. I am having a really hard time getting the blood up. I have gotten most of it, but there is still pretty obvious residue. Does anyone know how to get it out of the carpet? Please be nice, I am still a royal mess from this morning, she was my baby.

You need to get a Wet Vac and wet it down with OxyClean and let it set for a minute then suck it up as much as you can. A Wet Vac is used because you can suck up liquid with it.

    Bless your heart.

Get another one to replace your lost one. There are so many out there that need homes.

I’m sorry to hear about your dog, that is sad. The stain you have should be cleaned as best as possible with luke warm water and then dabbed as dry as possible with absorbent rags. Go to a pet store and purchase Nature’s Miracle and follow the directions on the container. Once again, I’m sorry to hear of your loss.

Sorry to hear about you dog.
Try using peroxide on the stain ,it will fizz like crazy but will take the blood out.

Sorry about your dog! Clorox Oxy Magic will take that blood right out… spray it on let it sit about 1 minute, rub the stains then put some more on let it soak for a little while then keep wiping it up. Do this until the blood is gone. I just did this with some blood that I missed when my dog busted my husband’s nose! This stuff is great for EVERYTHING!

I am so srry for your loss.

Oxyclean…the laundry stuff…is great at getting all kinds of stuff, even blood from scraped knees out of the grandkids’ clothing. I’d give that a try. Just mix up a strong solution of it by dissolving the Oxyclean powder in some water or make a paste of the oxyclean and then riinse it out with a wet vac. It won’t bleach your carpet like peroxide would. Although peroxide is a good blood remover.

Do remember, some stuff will lock the stain in when you use it, even if it doesn’t get the stain completely out.
