Can You Remove a cooking oil stain from a carpet?

I have a huge vegetable oil cooking stain on my carpet and I rent and I need to get this stain out of my carpet cause i do not want to lose my security does anyone know how to remove a stain. Please I really need help.

Here is a site that I would highly recommend. They have very high quality stain removal techniques. I would suggest repeating the process after the first application, and rinsing the rug out with cool water in between applications. Best of luck!
Have you tried cornstarch? Sprinkle cornstarch over the area heavily. Let the cornstarch absorb the oil then vacuum it up. It make take a few times of repeating this process. Then rent a steam cleaner and clean the carpets.
I’m actually hoping to find an answer to that same question. I’ve tried baking soda and vinegar, and steam cleaning, both have failed. Any new ideas?
