Oil Stains Archives

When i was cleaning someone’s house last week, he had one of those aromatic things that look like a night light. Apparently i put it back in the socket upside down and the oil stained the tile in his hallway. The oil is dried up, but left a pinkish stain on the granite tile floor. I need to get the stain up. But how?

How do I remove cooking oil stain on the carpet. Even after cleaning it reappears – seems like it works its way up – and never seems to go away.

I have an automobile oil stain on my driveway and was just wondering what product would work best. Does anyone have any knowledge on this? Would a concrete cleaner be better than kitty litter? Thanks for your kind help. Sincerely, psychosam

The beams are interior, structural and 4" x 12" Deep. I did try snading a small area and it got back to the natural wood, with some small pockets of stain remining-labor intensive and dusty though.

I spilt some cooking oil on my favourite old black tracksuit pants :( and I can't get it out. I tried putting some talcum powder on it, and I even tried putting them through the wash, but the oil stain is still there.
I'm wondering if I should try sending them to the dry cleaners, but seeing as these are old tracksuit pants I'd feel a bit stupid.

Oh, and I know they're old, but I'm not replacing them, that's out of the question. :P
