How can I get layers of paint and stain off of a hardwood floor?
Besides a sander.. we tried and it just gets gunked onto the sand paper.
Can I paint or stain particle board?
And have it not look stupid? It’s just plan unfinished particle board… needs to be non-toxic, too.

Can I use a solid stain to paint right over an existing stained deck?
My deck is stained a reddish brown. I would like to change the colour to something lighter, but I do not want to sand off all of the existing stain (latex). Can I just stain right over it with a solid stain that is a lighter colour? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
