Pet stains of fabric and windex?

I have found that spraying windex on pet stained fabrics (old urine stains) and putting them in the wash, takes the stain off completely leaving it clean as new. I just wonder what it is about ammonia on ammonia that removes the stain completely. Does anyone have any thoughts?

Pet urine stain on carpeting?

My dog had a little accident onto the beige carpeting of our den this past weekend. I cannot get rid of the stain or the smell, despite steam vacuuming it and applying Resolve stain remover to the area several times over the past 3 days. Any advice from vets or dog owners out there?

A Green effective way to remove pet stains?
