A squeeze bottle of chocolate syrup dumped over in the middle of the night and now there is a big dried clump of chocolate syrup on my kitchen carpet. How do I get this out?

Scrape and remove excessive stain using a blunt spatula, spoon or bone scraper. Never use a knife because it might harm the fibers.

Get to those stains fast. Scrape off as much chocolate residue as you can. Then, with a white paper towel or clean cloth, apply dry-cleaning fluid to the stain and blot. If any stain remains, apply a solution of 1/4 teaspoon mild white detergent and 1 cup room-temperature water. Work from the outer edge of the stain to the middle — always blotting, not rubbing. Rinse with clear water to remove soap residue.

I hope this was helpful, Take Care!!! :)

First use a blunt knife and gently scrape it off .Now with a sponge and warm water , sponge the stain, work inwards from the stain, like this you will stop the stain spreading further. Once you have done this, use a little of your own hair shampoo to wash the carpet it works just as well as carpet shampoo, Rise with cold water. Now lay a towel with a heavy object on top, this will help soak up any remaining water from the underside of your carpet. Leave like this over night . leave to dry with natural air. You might find this area will have to be steam cleaned at a later date , as sooner or later the water mark always reaches the surface. hope this helps you
