ive had nail polish on for about a week or two, and this morning when i took it off with nail polish remover, my nails were left with an ugly stain!
i completely removed the polish, but it left behind a yellowish (the polish was green) color.
i soaked my nails in lemon juice for a while, cos ive heard it whitens and cleans dirty nails, but it didnt help.
the nail polish i used was a new one that i have never used before…
what can i do to get rid of it!??
(i dont want to paint over my nails with a different color to cover it up)

    Next time use a base coat so the paint won’t stain your nails.

    hey!! omg noo not in lemon juice its so bad for ur nails!!!
    have u tried applying a clear coat before the color? ive painted my nails for 2 years now.. I ALWAYS have them painted… but i use a base first… u can buy it anywhere….

    Did you try useing soap and warm water. It usually works with my nails.

    Well maybe you had it on to long. I normally take it on after a week. Any way you probably want it gone by the time school starts. Well either leave it be or paint clear over. People will notice the shine faster than the stain.

    my mom said when you wear nail polish for a long time air does not like flow so it turns yellowish!

    it will go away shortly =]

    no. its completely normal.
    nails can get them if you leave polish on for to long.
    there is no way to cure or fix it.
    the best thing to do is keep your nails clean
    and it will go away on its on.

    it could go away today or it could go away in a month.
    Leave your nails unpainted until its gone covering it up will only make it worse!

    It is just from the polish being on a long time. Don’t put any polish on for a week and the yellow will go away. In the future use a clear base coat before applying nail polish and it will keep your nails from staining.

    If you put on nail polish without using a clearcoat first your nails turns yellow.
    Sally Hansen the nail company thing sells thinngs that can help with yellow nail.

    that has happened to me 2 ….if u wear dark colors I.E. blue, purple, black, dark red, and more and u dnt put a base polish on its gonna stain….trust me I got freaked out 2…so nxt time u put on dark polish get some base polish….o and it will go away in lyk a couple days….

    You can probably go to a drug store and might be able to buy a different kind of remover or look for a whitener or maybe you can try scrubbing your nails with something harder like a sponge rather than what you used and it might come off better.

    yupp if you paint your nails too much it leaves them yellow tinted….just like if you drink too much coffeee… now your gonna have to paint em always & forever lol….
