soak it in Cold water for a few minutes and rub with regular bar of soap..this works for me. If stain is still slightly visible let it dry in the sun, which removes stubborn stains.

  2. penpallermel says:

Try Tide with bleach detergent and some Shout. Also, before you wash them let them soak for a little while.

  3. mand says:

    Try peroxide, undiluted
    Then wash as usual

try wetting the sheet with cold water then use some hydrogen peroxide and use an old toothbrush to scrub the stain out. If that still doesn’t work soak it in some bleach water.

  13. lovely girl says:

Soak the sheet in Napisan. It comes in a blue box. I t removes my baby’s stains. Stains from any and everything under the sun. Just leave it socking for a few hours then go back and rub it , then leave it soaking again.

    This always works for me.

  14. dukalink6000 says:

Hydrogen peroxide works well, as does a little lemon juice and salt.

How did the blood stains get there, or is that something I shouldn’t be asking.

  15. Duo says:

Heres what you do, this will take out blood and rust, you soak the stain with lemon juice, and lay it out to dry in the sun, put salt on it after its flat. The lemon juice and salt react in the UV rays of the sun to create an acidic compound that dissolves the iron oxide (the component that stains in rust and blood stains)

  16. Sherrell says:

I know this is gross . . . but saliva works to dissolve blood stains of fabric.

  17. vinny b says:

Use Hydrogen Peroxide! Test for colorfastness, first!

  18. sandpeople_1 says:

try to use hydrogen peroxide. It will cut right through the blood and won’t leave a stain or discoloration

  19. candrv says:

If you have some of Amway’s (Alticor – Quixtar – same things) spray on Pre-Wash spray, (it’s better than Shout, or Spray-n-Wash,) that works good if you let it sit for a couple minutes – then wash with Tide.

  20. kasar says:

Peroxide, and baking powder, and kind of scrub it around with a toothbrush. Then run it through the wash.

if its just a little before you wash it scrub it with joy in cold water if you have already washed it and dried it the stain will be set and almost impossible to get out if there is alot of blood just get new ones

  23. frankygirl1825 says:

try using Shout – just rub it on the stain and wash

  24. zass0119 says:

Spray the stained area with concentrated Simple Green all-purpose cleaner and then soak for a couple of hours in cold water, then wash and dry as usual. This will clean up all blood stains, but is especially good for 7 to 20 day old stains.

  25. Thom E says:

Soak the areas in hydrogen peroxide for an hour – the oxygen released from the H2O2 will loosen the blood proteins and it doesn’t affect color. When done soaking – wash in warm water with Tide.

  26. jenniferhci says:

Oxi- clean——it’s excellent—- I just cleaned my blood of my bedsheet and it was setteled on there for a while and it came off pretty great. Follow the directions on the bottle–you have to dilute with water and use a rag and watch it dissappear…

  27. mrsd says:

Milk… will take it out just pour on and scrub and rinse and repeat..
protein … takes out pro tine.. sometimes i add soap but you dont have to or just let it soak..

    PEROXIDE!!!

  29. eskie lover says:

You can use hydrogen peroxide if it is a white sheet or light colored. But, you risk fading the color if it is anything else. You can also make a paste of Borax and water, scrub it into the spot until it disappears and launder as usual with about 1/2 more Borax in the water.

I’m kind of a freak, I love removing stains. I found that the best thing that works, better that about 10 other things I’ve tried, is to run the stain under cold water and rub it with regular white bar soap. Rub some of the soap on it, and then rub the sheet together while under the cold water. This will always get fresh blood stains out and almost always do the trick for old ones.

  31. Peace says:

If you killed someone don’t wash it just dial 911!!
Just kidding, really hot water should do the trick

My mom is a nurse, and here’s what she used to get blood out of her white nurses uniforms…
First, soak the sheet in very cold water for 10-20 minutes until saturated.
Blot the stain with a paper towel.
Soak a cotton ball in hydrogen peroxide and place on the stain, sqeezing out some of the peroxide. Allow the peroxide to bubble.
Removal cotton ball and repeat process until stain lightens. Rinse with cold water, then wash with your regular laundry.

I witnessed a bad wreck on the Interstate. I assisted. I had blood on my fav White cotton T-shirt. Over the next year I washed it at least fifty times. The stains turned blackish dark. I used Simple Green tm and washed my T and the stain was gone.

  36. Mary L says:

I learned from a veterinarian that peroxide removes blood stains. Pour about a half of a capful to start and rub the fabric together until you see the stain disappear. Then wash it as you regularly would with detergent. Check it after washing to see if there is any left, there shouldn’t be. If there is rub it with peroxide again and rinse before putting it in the dryer.
If the stain is still there and you dry it, it will remain there for the life of the article you are cleaning.

  37. DMACC says:

I begin by getting the stain as cold as possible. Use ice cubes by setting it on top of the stain immediately and do it again until it is gone. Then rinse the sheet stain in cold water and launder with cold water and detergent with bleach already in the detergent. Do not use pure bleach unless the sheets are white and dilute if yo are going that route the bleach will damage the sheets if not used properly.

Also a product called Awesome sold at 99 cent stores in California works wonders.

  38. cldyski says:

Try Mother’s Little Miracle – removes blood, urine, feces, vomit, etc.

  39. Handyman says:

    Scrub ice in the area.

  40. mchriswell@sbcglobal.net says:

If you have not washed it yet you can wash it in clod water, but if you have already washed the sheet and allowed it to dry then the stain is set.
