Darker nail polish stained my nails…?

I always heard dark nail polish mixed with the sun can cause stains on your nails and now I know it’s true. My nails are stained a bit. Do you know of anything that will de-stain them other than time???


And I know its not fungus or anything. It’s only on the surface/top layer of my nails and appeared after several times of using dark polish and leaving it on too long.

    Unfortunately not even a base coat can keep nail polish from staining the nails. It will stain from the sun or just being on too long. Fortunately you don’t need any chemicals or home remedies to get rid of the stain… all you need is a soft nail buffer that you can pick up at a Rite Aid or Walgreen’s or even Walmart for no more than a couple bucks. The buffer will not only take the stain right off but it will leave your nails feeling soft and clean! :)

    i’m not sure what to do to get rid of it…. but to prevent it, you should but a clear base coat or nail strengthener on before you put the color on and then a clear coat over the top of the color….you can find a uv clear coat that protects your nails from the sun…..i have some from AVON but i’m sure other companies make them too.

    try a lemon juice and whiteningtoothpaste solution, if toothpaste isn’t readily aavailabletry lemon juice and baking soda. put it on a nail brush and scrub scrub scrub! also use a base coat next time! :]

    try putting on Clear nail polish on the bottom, then wait for it to dry .. then out ob the dark nail poliish, wait for it to dry, then aapply the top coat of clear polish.
    always put clear nail polish on the bottom
    it stops it from staining.

    using a base coat nail polish can help a little before you apply your color. a nail buffer will help with the staining but don’t buff to much or you’ll buff your nail away. Hope this helps.
