Janitorial suppliers sell a product called "Consume" , an enzyme-based product that may help-or may not, depending on how much pee is in the carpet, and whether it is soaked in the pad. If the pad is soaked, like the guy above said…out it comes.

I agree with the one answer going to a janitorial supply store and you may have steam clean the carpet. If that does not work you might try a professional carpet cleaner they will have products and better equipment to get the stain and odor from the carpet. Just putting deodorizers may not do the job.

Hate to say it but I have yet to come across a home remedy that works AT ALL…

Whatever you do DO NOT use Fabrize on it! The stink or REALLY horrible!!

The only thing I have used that did ANY good was:
"Just for Cats by Nature’s Miracle" (They make a Dog Specific kind and an ANY Animal Kind too… Just search "Nature’s Miracle")
    http://www.petsmart.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2750968&cp=2767033.2768984&fbn=Taxonomy%7CStain+%26+Odor&fbc=1&clickid=topnav_dropdown1_link16&parentPage=family&keepsr=1

Use it full strength and use it twice for best results…

If you pet keeps on "Going" there then you should get a bottle of Eukalyptous Essential Oils and sprinkle it on the spot because it will keep the cat away… Put a few drops down every few days or else it wears off and they will make a bee-line for it.

Even if you replace the carpet the pet will keep going back!

I had a cat that ruined a VERY expensive leather couch…

Then when my 21 year old started going senile he started to go on the carpet in my new apartment too…

Even if you pull up the carpet and pad it might be in the wood of the floor as well and the O N L Y way to completely stop any animal from going there again is to replace EVERYTHING the pee touched!!!!!!!!

    E V E R Y T H I N G!!

If you just replace the carpet and pad and then were to move the next animal to be in the house will go right to that spot and go… YEARS later it can still be smelled by animals and it will draw them like a neon light!

Good luck to you my friend!!

Follow the directions of the Nature’s Miracle and it should help A LOT if it doesn’t get rid of it.

wet the stains with water then pore Borax on them. The borax will lift the stains

OdorMute or similar enzyme-based deodorizer. The material must be allowed to soak in as deeply as the urine has, and should be kept warm and moist for about 24 hours. Thereafter,
you need to immediately dry the area to keep mold from forming.

I’d suggest you start with hot water extraction of the area first —
hot water and a little detergent in a "steam cleaner" — to get out
as much as you can that way before applying enzymes.

If the urine has gotten into the subfloor, that will need to be replaced, as will the carpet and pad. If it hasn’t gotten that far, you may need several cycles of enzyme treatment to deodorize the area completely.
