So we hear ginger ale is a miracle stain remover, but it doesn’t stain or leave little white marks on carpet if I may have dripped some, does it?

It works but depends on what type of stain. Lighter fluid and a $1 prouduct named Awesome works a miracle on carpet also.

I would think that it would indeed be a noticeable spot if you didn’t make an effort to clean up the spill. The reason is simple. It has sugar in it. Sugar is sticky. As you continue to walk over that area, the sticky stuff will collect and hold dirt better than the surrounding area. Because of this, after a bit, a mark will be noticeable. Hit the carpet with some spot cleaner, using a cloth do your best to get as much of the liquid up, and then vacuum the area. It should be fine. There are much worse things you could spill!
