Does wrapping paper stain car paint?

I’m planning on wrapping my bosses car in wrapping paper as a joke. I’m using the Christmas wrapping paper. Do you think if it gets wet that it can damage his car paint?

    Some wrapping papers can damage the paint on a car. This typically occurs to light colored vehicles and bright colored papers ( think red!) I would not want to risk it, if I were you. There are so many other alternatives… cheap vinyl or plastic tablecloths or those plastic door covers. They would work better than wrapping paper anyway!

    I dont know about that. How about using some of the plastic wrapping papers or those Christmas tablecoth’s that you can get dirt cheap right now?
