Getting coffee stain off dry clean only coat?

best stain removercleaning suppliesjanitorial suppliesremoving stains

I sent my black trench coat to the dry cleaners….the coat is dry clean only….a few days previously I had spilled a coffee (with cream) on the coat….I got the coat back from the dry cleaners – and lo and behold, the coffee and cream are still all over my coat….you can actually feel it.

Is there anyway I’ll be able to get this off myself?
Can I wash a trench coat?!?!?
Can I wash the soiled part, then take it to a dry cleaner?
I’ve never really had enough money to afford dry clean only clothes before, so I dont know what to do here…

Any advice appreciated.
Thanks

Give to the dry cleaners and show them the spot and tell them what it is, milk & Coffee or just coffee. They should be able to get it out without ruining your coat.

    really depends on the fabric

Hmmmm….actually I have a black trench style coat (dry clean only) that had lipstick all over the sleeve (one of the hazards of the Nordstrom makeup counter!) and NOTHING would take it off until I bought this miracle stain remover called Kiss Off. It comes in a tube (similiar to Chapstick, but larger) and is only about $4.00. Not sure if it would work on your coffee stain but it’s definitely worth a try. Oh…I bought my Kiss Off at Aaron Brothers. Good Luck!
