Grease stain on a colored tank top?

How do you get a grease stain out of a colored, ribbed tank top? I put some shout gel stuff on it, but I love this shirt and want to get the stain out completely. Should I use OxiClean? What do you guys recommend that WON'T ruin the colors?
Soak it in hot, warm, or cold water? Wash it in cold?

Put some Dawn dish soap directly on the stain. Then take and old toothbrush, dip it in HOT water, and scrub the stain. Wash and dry like normal. Stain should come out. I keep an old toothbrush in the laundry room w/ some Dawn just for grease stains.

simple on the spot (full strength) let it sit for 10 min then put it in the washer machine. that should bring it right out.

Try putting a dot or two of Dawn dish soap on it. But make sure it is Dawn, not another brand.

Are we talking like the grease from a car or like oil off of a slice of pizza? If you're talking the black stuff out of an engine (bike chain, etc.) buy a new tank top. If it's oil off of food, soak your whole shirt in a tub of water and dawn overnight. If it doesn't work the first time, throw it in the washer, and soak again. Don't dry it in the dryer unless it's out. If you've already dried it, you're stuck. I used to work at a pizza place and this is how we got the spots off of our work shirts. Works like a charm!

Get some Simple Green. It's a concentrated spray cleaner that is sold in hardware, automotive, grocery and discount stores. It's also non-toxic and biodegradable!

Give that nasty spot a good spray and let it soak at least a couple hours, even overnight. Then just wash the top as you normally would. If the spots isn't all gone, give it another dose of Simple Green, let it soak and wash it again.

I've used Simple Green to get axle grease and motor oil out of things with great results! The only thing I've run into that it wouldn't take out is McDonald's french fryer oil when my son worked at McD's. That really made me wonder about what they were using to cook the fries in……..
