Grease Stain on my clothes?

best stain removercleaning suppliesjanitorial suppliesremoving stains

While washing clothes, the lip balm i accidently left in a pocket got melted in to all my clothes while in the dryer. Some of the stains are bad, some I can save. However, does anyone know how to get a grease stain out of jeans/cotton/ect.?
People say not to put the clothing into the dryer untill you know for sure the stain is out.

My stain happened IN the dryer.
What position does that put me at?? Lol.

    The lip balm was most likely WAX BASED. So it is more of a wax stain than a GREASE stain. There will be some oils in the lip balm as well. Grease stains that have been "set" by the dryer can easily be treated with HOT {boiling} water and quality liquid dish soap. Do this in the sink , add soap to the stain and poor hot water over it and scrub well with stiff brush. Wear very thick dish gloves to protect hands.
    The hot water should melt the waxes as well. But these can be very stubborn!
    {stiff fingernail brush works great!}
    Also, if item needs to be washed in COLD water, be carefull just to treat the spot, with the hot water. This can be tricky though .
    This should help. If not, new clothes……..

    shampoo or hand soap works really well. the cheaper the better because of the ingredients. just rub it in really well and rinse with water. make sure the grease is out before drying them!

    Use Gojo orange hand cleaner. You can buy them at any auto parts store. Just brush the fabric with it.

    Spray it with Shout and rub in. Once you have rubbed, apply some Dawn dish detergent to it and let it soak for 30-45 minutes. When you are done place in the washer with baking soda. Do not apply any other detergent to your shirt in the washer (only baking soda besides the Shout and Dawn you’ve already used) After it washes, place in the dryer or on the line outside and you should be good after that.

    Good old fashioned chalk will do the trick ,rub the item/items with white chalk,(the same as you’re teacher used at school,)rub it on the stain and leave overnight the chalk will absorb the grease then brush off and wash again,and check the pockets this time lol,a cheap but effective way to deal with this problem.

    Dawn dishsoap, put it straight on the spots, then soak them in Simple Green. or Bi-O-Kleen Cleaner & Degreaser works better if you can find it.
