Greasy stain in my new carpet?

best stain removercleaning suppliesjanitorial suppliesremoving stains

My 2yr old emplied my makeup (oil based) onto the carpet 2 days ago. I used resolve right away but I am left with an orangy stain. Is there anything I can do at this stage or should I call in the Professionals – if so any tips on who’s the best out there for oil based stains?

Woolite Oxy Deep oxygen activated stain remover works. It took out old grease stain I had for along time. Be sure to follow instructions.

Spray the area with a 50-50 mix of ammonia and water with a few drops of liquid soap added to it…..make this mix up in a spray bottle. Don’t let the fluid sit for more than a few seconds. Use a vacuum for wet use (THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT!) to suck up the stain. Repeat until the stain has gone. This process is the same as what the professional use.

I’ve noticed that hydrogen peroxide will take out a lot of stains.Just put on the stain and place a towel over to soak it up.Leave on for awhile.Hope this helps.

    Try some Dawn dish detergent…

Combination solvents like Shout or Spray ‘N Wash are the best for removing make-up stains. Spray some on, wait 5 minutes, then scrub with a sponge until it comes up. If that doesn’t work, try Windex (it has ammonia in it). Good luck.
