Grout/paint stain and scratches on travertine flooring?

best stain removercleaning suppliesjanitorial suppliesremoving stains

I just bought a brand new house from centex with travertine flooring in it,i noticed there're holes in the surface filled with OFF WHITE grout to match the colour of the stone, which is fine with me, what bothers me is that i also notice a lot of White (NOT off white!!) stain on the stone,i can see n feel with my finger, the white stain make the stones look dirty and seem like they're stained with white paint or white grout. There're also scratches on the stone, seem like someone's trying to use a tool to scratch off the white stain n tape mark but left behind the scratches instead.the guy who did the walk through with me keep telling me that the white stain is part of the stone,i'm still not convince becos the stain is WHITE,not OFF WHITE,which don't match the colour of the stone and that's why it looks visible and dirty,What should i do? what is the solution for scratches and grout/paint stain?any recommendation/advise on anything that i can use to protect the stone like sealant etc??

Very difficult to repair these patches because the new repair patches will be there again. it's better to cover the floor with carpet, wooden flooring or dismantle the existing floor and opt for modern flooring like Floor Tiles, Wooden flooring etc. Do not forget to check the water seepage problem (if any) before redoing the floor.
