try nail polish remover or alcohol. problem is the finish on the table might just come off. worst case, explain the issue and make neccessary arrangements -

rake up some money and buy them a new one. fingernail polish takes EVERYTHING off. i know becuse my kids got it all over the walls and floors one day. not fun.

It is best to admit your error immediately and offer to pay for repair…….not refinish, you probably can’t afford that and even worse, replace. Repair would be a spot treatment where the area is refinished, a professional can do a pretty good job. Even the whole table top can be refinished with doing the whole table. Still are talking $$ . Homeowners insurance would cover it, their’s as I assume you don’t have any insurance.

Hope you have learned an important message, those type products are very dangerous and should not be used around furniture or fabric that is expensive to replace or repair.
