Help me get this urine stain out of my cushion?!?

My potty training 2 year old peed on my couch cushion. The smell is HORRIBLE and I tried to get the smell out with no success. The material is suede-like and we had it scotch guarded last summer when we purchased it. I tried mild soap, as instructed for stain removal, and the stain is gone, but the oder remains.
I also tried febreeze, water and vinegar, leaving it outside, nothing seem to get the smell out. I really don’t know what is safe to use so I don,t ruin my cushion. Please help?????

    The smell is coming from the filler inside the cushion. Remove and wash filler but do not put it into the dryer. Let it air dry. If there is no zipper then you will have to open the cushion and re-sew it.

    I would definitely try Urine Be Gone. It is one of the seen on TV things, but I found it at Target. It comes with a black light. When my dog was a puppy, he urinated in a spare bedroom all of the time. We had it professionally shampooed, but the smell never went away. I bought Urine Be Gone, and took the black light in the room and could see every spot that my dog ever peed. This took the smell away. :) I’ve also used it on my couch, but I would test an unnoticeable spot o your couch first, since it is a different material. A cheaper product would be Spot Shot. That usually works for me…but what Spot Shot couldn’t get, Urine Be Gone did.

    the previous guy is correct in that the pee soaked through the fabric to the cushion. you need to treat the cushion as far down as the pee goes then your cleaner needs to go as deep. Using a water, vinegar and mild dish soap will often work. Trying an enzyme based cleaner used for dogs may work. For extra treatment put the treatment on and place the cushion in a larger garbage bag for about 24 hours so it doesn’t dry and has more time to work and then leave it out to dry. Good luck.
