Help? My nail polished stained my fingernails!?

best stain removercleaning suppliesjanitorial suppliesremoving stains

I had dark blue nail polish on for maybe a months now. I took my polish of today and my nails are stained, what do i do? I have to have my nails a pink shade for tomorrow(friend baby shower theme is strawberry shortcake) so i want to kinda match. Would soaking my nails in water help?
I wont cut my nails. i have had long nails all my life. Thank you, that would have worked too.

that happened to me except in red! it turned my whole finger red trying to get it off! first i tried nail polish remover, then water. to tell you the truth the water did absoluetly nothing. if you can get acetone that might help more than non acetone nail polish remover but be careful not to expose yourself to it too much. it is very harsh. i painted right over it that night and you couldnt tell at all. i hope you get it off!

Try soaking them in both water and nail polish remover. I would try the nail polish remover first though. if that doesnt work, or doesnt work enough, try buffing them to remove the top coat, which is what is stained. If you get most of the color off, you can just paint over it. (: hope that helps

Nail polish remover/alcohol will get it right out.

I get that all the time with blue nail polish. I would soak them in finger nail polish remover for 20 minutes, and then soak em in cold water for twenty minutes. And in between, take a towel and wipe your nails off, or dab them. Do so until it all comes off. Or if all else fails, just paint over them but use a bright pinkish color. Hope this helped!

well that use to happen to me but then i started putting clear polish on first before the colored one so it won’t stain. And the color will come off if you soak in water and scrub with a little nail polish remover

I agree with everyone, just soak it in nail polish remover for a few minutes and then apply a coat of WHITE polish for a base and it will really make the pink pop, if you see what I mean. The white creates a blank canvas for the light pink shade, and it would really work. I hope I helped. (: Good luck and have fun at the baby shower tomorrow!

Try nailolish remover (soaking them) and scrub as hard as you can with a Q-Tip. Remover should get it all (most) of it off. If you can’t get it off, just paint them the pink and keep your nails to yourself or don’t notice until someone (probably rudely) points it out. I’m sure they’ll understand.

Also, try rubbing it off with your fingernails!(:
    GOodluck!

what i do is paint a pink color on top let it dry for an hour then take it off, that should take care of the problem. Then paint them the way you would like.

No, im sorry to say that i dont think that would help. All you can do is drive down to CVS, purchase a plish that is in a nude pink color, or a color that matches the strawberry short cake theme

    other colors would be-
    white
    cream
    off-white
    nude pink
    creamy yellows
    candy pinks

if you cant paint your nails thank cut them short, put clear polish on them and maybe they’ll be less noticable.
