How can I effectively remove pet urine stains that will be continuously re-curring in a room?

Yeah so I have this new pet rabbit that I like to let run around my room for exercise. I’m not sure I can keep him from peeing all the time on the carpet. I guess the question is, is there a way to keep my relatively nice carpet from being permanently badly stained? And if so, what can I use (what product)?

Do they have to be removed immediately?

You can get rid of the stains by giving your cute rabbit to your best friend and let cutie rabbit wee over their floor.

    Use the first link
It’s a link to a portable water induced vacuum cleaner. I have one at my house at the moment. I was amazed at how it works, because it ALWAYS picks up pee stains. Always. I would rate it my best buy for pee-stain vacuum cleaners, honestly. haha.

The second link is a good formula that my family and I have always used for our three current dogs (have had a total of six). It gets rid of the pee smell, and it would work for the pet rabbit too. This product cleans up stains nicely! We used it to clean our whole house in Kansas before we moved, as we discovered plenty of pee stains. It’s constantly used around my house today in California, just like we used it in Kansas.

You would prefer to remove the stain immediately.. at least within the first few days. If you let the stain sit, it will seep through the carpet and get into the pink/purple padding or insulation UNDER the carpet. Once it’s there, every time the carpet gets wet in some sort of way, or it is a hot day, you smell the horrible stench of it. It’s best to be expedient in the time spent with disposing of any animal’s pee stains in carpets.

    Good luck!

Once the pet pees on the carpet the pee travels to the padding. I suggest you shampoo the entire carpet to remove the stains. It will never be truly clean because the urine will remain in the padding. Allow the cute rabbit to exercise on a tiled or linoleum floor instead. If that is not possible fence the rabbit in a controlled area, playpen covered entirely with a piece of linoleum and some news papers which you can wipe easily.

have your rabbit spayed or neutered immediately. hormonal, they are scent marking their space.

put a timothy hay/shredded paper litter box on their favorite spot. they will use it. timothy hay is available at walmart.

they will sit happily munching on the hay and going potty at the same time.
