How can I get a blood stain out of my comforter?

As far as I know it’s cotton and navy blue so I can’t bleach it! help please!

    I got just the trick!!!!!!!! peroxide will remove blood and won’t bleach,if you have not washed it yet?? it will eat the blood

    I would soak in cold water and use a liquid dishwashing soap.

    What that doesn’t get out, soaking in the washer with oxyclean will probably remove, but be careful and agitate the water with the oxyclean in it BEFORE you add the comforter.

    If any is left in it, then hydrogen peroxide should remove it.

    the best way to get blood out of any fabric is to soak it in super hot water and then rub soap into it. then rinse all of the soap out with hot water. let it dry. depending upon how long the blood has been in there, you may need to repeat several times.

    Cold water and Dawn dish detergent, that stuff works wonders! But it HAS to be Dawn!!!

    There is a product I use called Zout. If you are in America, you can get a spray version in the laundry detergent area of your grocery store. Sometimes they sell a liquid version that is the consistency of dishwashing liquid. Both versions are terrific and have saved any number of my husband’s and son’s shirts from both blood and ink. Plus it is so gentle you can use it to wash delicates in. You just soak the stain with it. Let it sit for a couple of minutes then throw it in the washer.

    Cold water and mild detergent such as Woolite. Let it soak for a good 10 minutes or so then wash as normal.

    NEVER use hot water on blood stains – it will set the stain.

    Pour hydrogen peroxide on the stain (the kind you find at the drug store). It will fizz a little, and you may have to apply it a couple of times, but the blood will come right out. Wash your comforter as normal to make sure it is thoroughly rinsed.

    Try peroxide. Once one of my daughters cut their ankle while shaving and bled all over my shower curtain. I poured peroxide on it, let it set for a while, rinsed it in cold water, then washed it and the stain was gone.
