How can I get a grease stain (butter) out of my jeans?

I dabbed with water but I havent washed/dried them yet, so I'm hoping the stain hasnt set in. They were very expensive jeans and dabbing with water kind of made the grease stain look even larger.

Hi, you can go to your local walmart store and buy shout, or spray power. It works well. I have used it on my clothes many of times. Just put either on and through in the laundry hamper till the next time you wash. The stain will come right out. Hope this helps. Good Luck

The best thing I've found for getting grease and oil stains out is arm and hammer liquid detergeant with oxyclean. If the stains are really set in, or it's really hard to get out oil like transmission fluid, 2190 turbine oil, hydraullic fluid, or chain grease, pre-treat the entire cloathing article. How I pre-treat cloathes is 1/2 cup of cascade (yes… cascade) in a 5 gallon bucket of hot water. I've rarely had stains I couldn't get out. Hope that helps you out.

Using dish soap on your kitchen sink put a generous amount of it on both sides of the stain. making sure to rub it in a little. let the soap sit for an hour or more and then wash as normal DO NOT DRY! if the stain does not come out repeat this cycle until the stain comes out REMEMBERING NOT TO DRY!

the bad part is you already dried them so the stain may have set already, but give it a shot and i hope this works for you.

Sprinkle talcum powder on the stain and press it with hot iron. Now take out the powder with a coat brush.Wash normally with detergent.

Get some waterless hand cleaner, such as Go-Jo, like mechanics use. You'll find it at auto parts stores and hardware stores. Rub it into the stain (overlap to the unstained area), let sit for a couple of minutes then wash as normal. This stuff is designed to remove grease and oil; won't harm cotton or synthetics and washes away with soap and water. This will remove grease and oil stains even if they have been washed and dried.
