This type of stain is one of the hardest to get out the carpet. I would recommend using a wet vac and slowly pour hot water (from a kettle) on the spot and vacuum it up at the same time, (this will open up the dye ports on the carpet fibre releasing the stain. and remove the residue from the carpet).
If the stain is still visible than try putting Dawn dishwashing liquid (4 or 5 drops into one cup of water) or carpet spotter. Dampen the spot letting it soak on the stain for about 5 minutes and repeat step one. After this you should rinse the area again with the wet vac and hot water.
Please be careful with what product you uses (neutral PH carpet cleaning solution is best). Please DO NOT put anything on the carpet that was not made for carpet.

Look, if you are going around punching people, what do you expect a blue stain? Get counseling.

I’m afraid I don’t have a wonderful answer for getting it out, but I do have one in case it doesn’t.

Most closets are also carpeted. If not, then go to the carpet store and get a piece from them or look around where you store things. Most carpet companies give you the leftovers when they carpet the house.

There are professionals out there who can cut the stain out and replace it with the carpet from the closet or wherever. A good local carpet installing company or service like "Service Master" can help you find someone good.I swear, you will never see where it was patched in. I am a realtor who has used this type of service over and over again for home sellers. It works!
