Try a product called CLR or ZUD cleanser, available at home stores like Lowes or Home Depot.

OXY clean is great for rust and so is Zud, but, Zud stinks when wet.

On my white kitchen sink, I always use BarKeepers Friend which is in a powder form like Comet. I have always gotten results and never had to use anything else for stains.
I also put hot water and a small amount of liquid bleach in my sink and let it soak for at least an hour. It keeps the sink clean and sanitized.

Well sometimes you can remove the stain by using half a lemon ,but if the stain is very bad best making a trip to your chemist. You need a 5% solution of oxalic acid or 10% hydrochloric acid wear rubber gloves & apply with a soft cloth . This will remove the rust , make sure you rinse well when finished

baking soda might work , simply green should work and last the chemical stuff CLR will get it clean, but should try the enviormental safer items first.

Bar Keepers Friend. It’s a cleanser that works well on rust and is low abrasive.

A Cream of Tartar scrub in a paste works.

Baking soda will work too but you’ll need a little more elbow grease.
