How can I get dark brown nail polish out of my beige carpet? Rub or blot?

My bad butt 2yrold has wrecked havoc again!!! Ahhhhhhhh! I’ve read the answers to use nail polish remover and OxyClean. I have both products at home, but from the other answers I read, I’m not clear if I should rub the stains- perhaps with a little scrub brush. Or, should I blot with a cloth?!?!?

blot with a cloth. the only reason why anyone is telling you to do it different is because its going to be faster. and it will, but this way you arent just smearing it in deeper. honestly if you just care about making it so it doesnt show on the surface, any of these methods will do, but even as we speak your nail polish is drying deep inside that carpet, and depending on how deep your carpet is, its going to be harder and harder to get it all up out of there.

well with oxi clean you want to put alittle bit directly on the stain then add alittle warm water then let it soak for about 15 minutes, but with nail polish the best thing to use to clean it up is this chemical you get from home depot its called AFTA it costs about $15.00 but it will really get anything off your carpet that tends to stain.

sorry to tell you this but whatever you do
it aint gonna happen might as well cover it up or something rubbing or trying to clean it will only make it smear and make it worse sorry
just buy a really cute rug

Try using Spot Shot. You spray it on and blot it off. It works great for lots of stains.
