    Acetone is the main ingredient in nail polish remover. I don’t know what the effect of acetone on marble is. I have read of stain removal techniques using acetone to remove other stains, (ink, tea, etc) from marble. Try washing it with warm, mild soapy water, rinse & dry.

    If it has etched the surface (cloudy spot), you may have to have it professionally polished.

    You can use aclohol or some acetone and rub it off.
