How can I get nail polish stains off a comforter?

I spilled red nail polish on my new comforter……help!

    First, before you read on….if the comforter has already been washed and dried and it’s an old stain that never came out, this may not work.
    Now, scrape as much of the nail polish off as you can. Once that is done, blot the saraes with a cotton ball and acetone nail polish remover, after that scrub the spots with liquid dish detergent that doesn’t have lanolin or bleach in it. You can use a spray bottle to apply the dish soap mixed with a little water. Then, rinse the soap out of those spots and blot those as dry as you can with a cloth. After that, blot the spot with hydrogen peroxide. That should do the trick!
