How can I get the pet urine smell off my leather couch?

I have a "stretched" leather couch, my cat urinated on it a few times when she was sick. It has been well over a year and my couch still smells and has a small patch of leather that is hard from the urine sitting in the crease.. Any suggestions on a pet stain remover that will not damage my couch? How about using a leather treatment for the damaged hardened area? Will that attract the cat though? Any suggestions!!!

    I used Nature’s miracle on the area where my cat peed. It says on the bottle that it can be used on old stains and odors, and comes with a money back gaurantee. It doesn’t say that you can’t use it on leather, so it should be alright for that. Really soak the area with it, then leave it for a few days. It worked for us when our sick cat peed on the bed, and also on the floor when one went over the side of the box, tho it wasn’t quite as effective there on the wood boards.
    You can buy it online or at pet stores.

    In my experience, nothing gets rid of the smell of cat urine. I don’t know why, but that smell sticks around. In our old house, the previous owners had let their cat pee on the carpet and we replaced the carpet thinking that would do the trick, but it didn’t. We ended up having to totally replace the subfloor to totally get rid of the smell. Cat pee is the nastiest stuff in the world!

    I have cats and have tried nearly everything. I find bleach (obviously not for the couch) or vinegar. The best thing i have found that is safe to use on everything, is the washing powder Bio Zet, it has enzymes that break down the smell and it does work, here i was buying expensive products too. With cat urine u cant just mask the smell u have to totally neutralise it and thats what Bio Zet does. Good luck and i hope this works for u.
