How can i prevent stains when i do laundry?

Usually when i do laundry some of my shirts, including my nice ones, have what looks like wet stains but the spots aren’t wet. I’ve tried different ways to do my laundry like putting clothes in b4 the detergent or detergent first then water then clothes, nothing seems to be working and im rly tired of messing up shirt and having to get new ones. I have even tried different detergents. Right now im using Purex 3 in 1 sheets. I dont know what else to do. I will try anything at this point!

Are you washing everything together? Wash shirts alone, remove quickly when done. Or, maybe your machine has rust?

Those could be grease marks. Use a dish-washing liquid like Dawn, and pre treat the "wet"
spots. Launder as usual, but then hang the the questionable shirt to dry; I usually just put it on a hanger and leave it in the bathroom on the shower bar. Then take a good look at the spots
you treated. I like to check under a strong bright light. If you still see the spots, repeat the process.
The warmest water the clothing can take is your best bet.

I use a cap full of Oxiclean triple action stain remover, along with my liquid detergent when I wash colors. I no longer use a fabric softener, just a half cup of white vinegar in the final rinse.

Do you have soft water? Really hard water can cause stains on you clothes as well. There are only a couple detergents on the market that address hard water. So, if it’s not the machine, or the detergent, you might want to check the hardness of your water.

    Thanks,
