How can I remove a stain in car leather from a melted greeen candle?

After scraping off the wax, the coloring from the candle stained the camel colored interior. Any ideas on best do it yourself method to remove the stain?

Basically you have what is known as dye transfer where the colour fro the candle has dyed the leather.

You need to try Maxi Cleaner (this is specifically designed for removing dye transfer) and if this does not work it will require recolouring by a leather technican.

Always use leather protector on pale coloured leathers as this will inhibit this sort of damage and make cleaning easier.

DO NOT try any type of slovents or baby wipes or anything containing waxes or oils as this could make matters worse.

try a brown paper bag directly over the wax/coloring. GENTLY heat the back of the paper with a warm iron with no steam. That might work.

i know this may sound crazy and i know that you want to do it yourself but, i would take the car to a dry cleaner and ask their advice, they deal with stains in leather than most people.
it seems the oils in the wax have permeated the pores in the leather and they need to be drawn out, you could try to take
a paper towel, place over the stain, then using a hair dryer on low, heat the area, that may pull the oils into the towel. you may have to repeat this procedure several times to completely remove the stain. i know this works on regular fabrics so it may work on leather. just out of curiosity, just why were candles in the car ;) ?
