How can I remove salt stains from drinking glasses?

Something went wrong with our water softener, and it left salt deposits on all of our dishes in the dishwasher. Washing them a 2nd time hasn’t removed the salt, and neither has soaking them in soapy water overnight. Doing some searching online I discovered that vinegar helps to remove salt, which it did, but it didn’t completely remove most of the stains. Is there a better or quicker method to get the glasses looking clean again? The really don’t look like something you’d like to drink from!

Fill the sink or a bucket with HOT water and add 2 cups white vinegar and 1/2 cup baking soda…Let them soak overnight. Using the same water in the morning rub with a soft cloth. Vinegar takes time to break down the salt the baking soda will aid in solubility.

Buy CLR in the hardware store. It’ll work very well.
