I use a product called "Natures Miracle" and it works very well on urine stains, old or new…and also removes the odor. You can find it at Petco. I have even used it on coffee and red wine stains in carpet and it really worked to remove the stains! (it took a couple applications at times).

There are lots of products on the market. I’ve used and had great luck with Nature’s Miracle. You have to saturate the area and let it air dry, which can take a few days, but it worked great for us!!

We’ve got a 100 pound dog that is incontinent (she can’t hold her urine and leaks in her sleep) so we had some major carpet cleaning to do when she was having most of her problems.

We dumped a bunch of Nature’s Miracle on it, let it dry and the smell, stain and urine are all gone! :)

try natures miracle, or resolve for pets. you can also try covering the spot after its cleaned, or try using wee-wee pads over that spot. they work great. other option to clean the carpet is rent the rug doctor from a drug store like cvs or eckerd, etc or a supermarket. That stuff is a lifesaver. My cat was going to the bathroom on the carpet in my old apartment and there were both kind of stains which i couldnt get out with anything. we rented the rug doctor and 100% of the stains were taken out…the carpet looked brand new and it saved my butt from having to rip up the carpet when we moved out.
    Hope this helps :)

Sorry, nothing works except bleach and that will also take out the carpet color.

I know that this may sound funny, but you can use shaving cream. I found out about this little trick myself a few months ago. I have a friend whose mother is in the nursing home and that is what the LPN’s use when her mother wets her chair. I have tried it myself on pet stains and it does work. Spray the cream on the spot and take a damp cloth and let it set for a few minutes. Work the lather in and wipe clean with the damp cloth. If the stain has been there for awhile, you may have to do this procedure twice. I have three indoor pets and sometimes they don’t make it to their pad’s. It also leaves a nice scent. Any brand of shaving cream will do. Good luck!

I use 1 regular size bottle hydrogen peroxide, 1 tb ajax dish soap and 1 Tb Baking soda. Mix it in a plastic bowl with a plastic spoon. NO METAL!!!! Dump it on the site and let dry till you see the powder. Then i run the sweeper. It’s easy cheap and works!!

For really old stains, I found a product available online from QVC.com called Stain Buddy. It takes out every kind of stain! It is fantastic! If it doesn’t work for you, you can get your money back. It truly is the best!

If it is still new, use peroxide! BEST RICK EVER! I have cat pee stain from about 4 years ago and IT TOTALLY WORKED! And heres a story to REALLY make you believe it:

My friend gave birth at their home-a rental, in water, on white carpet. Blood got everywhere, and they poured some peroxide on there and it’s TOTALLY white! Whiter than before, actually.

    Good luck!

there are products at the pet store that neutralize stains and odors with special enzymes. They also have products that discourage dogs from going back to pee in the same spot. As long as he smells the urine, he will continue to use that spot that he "marked". You could try scrubbing it out with a mix of baking soda and white vinegar and then blot it with a damp towel. Good luck!
